EISCO Centripetal Force Kit

This simple and elegant kit contains all the necessary tools to explore the properties of rotational dynamics. A rubber stopper swings on the end of a string, counterbalanced by weights, allowing students to observe the effects of mass and radius on centripetal acceleration and rotational velocity.

The kit includes a hollow plastic grip handle, a length of string, 20 washers, 2 paper clips, and a rubber stopper. To conduct the activity, the student will thread the string through the handle, spin the rubber stopper around, and then balance it with the weights at the bottom of the string.
